Teaching the use of 'a' and 'an'? Here's a simple activity that you can use for practice. It's reusable so you can practice many times!

How to play?

1) Teach the vowels; a e i o u. Let them know that these letters are special. Talk to them about how MOST of the words that begin with these letters can have 'an' instead of 'a'. Let them fill up the blanks.

2) Read the sentence and match it to the right picture. Start with just one page at a time to prevent child from being too overwhelmed.
